oMemories is a platform for preserving and sharing precious moments with the people who matter most to you. To keep our community safe and welcoming, all users must follow these guidelines.
By using oMemories, you agree to abide by these rules. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban.
Private Memories Are Not Exempt
All content on oMemories — including private and shared memories — is subject to these Community Guidelines and applicable laws.
There is no “hidden” or “private” area where illegal content is allowed. We may review reported content regardless of privacy settings, and we will cooperate with law enforcement when required by law.
Encryption protects your data from unauthorized access, but does not exempt content from legal obligations or platform rules.
Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action:
Any content depicting, promoting, or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM), nudity involving minors, or any content that sexualizes children. This includes AI-generated content.
Content that violates local, national, or international laws, including but not limited to illegal drugs, weapons trafficking, fraud, or promoting illegal activities.
Content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
Threats of violence, intimidation, harassment, or content that encourages harm to individuals or groups. This includes doxxing (sharing private information).
Content that promotes, glorifies, or supports terrorist organizations or violent extremist ideologies.
Sharing intimate or sexual images of another person without their consent, including “revenge porn” or deepfakes.
Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide.
Acceptable Use
oMemories is designed for:
- Sharing family photos and videos
- Preserving personal memories
- Collaborating on shared experiences with friends and family
- Creating digital memory books and timelines
Content should be appropriate for a general audience and respect the privacy of others.
Respecting Others
When sharing memories with others:
- Only share content you have the right to share
- Respect the privacy of people in your photos and videos
- Get consent before sharing images of others
- Do not share private information about others without permission
- Be kind and respectful in shared memory contributions
Privacy & Safety
Protect yourself and others:
- Do not share sensitive personal information (addresses, financial info)
- Be cautious when sharing memories with people you don't know well
- Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior
- Protect your account and keep your device secure
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content that violates these guidelines:
- Do not engage with the content or user
- Report the content using the in-app reporting feature

We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include:
- Content removal
- A warning to the user
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account ban
- Reporting to law enforcement (for illegal content)
Enforcement
We enforce these guidelines through:
- Automated content scanning for known illegal content
- User reports and manual review
- Proactive safety measures
Depending on the severity of the violation:
- First offense: warning and content removal
- Repeat offenses: temporary suspension
- Severe violations: immediate permanent ban
- Illegal content: report to authorities and permanent ban
Changes to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as needed. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
